Fire fighters looking from the side lines as a building burns. They are recovering from hard work on the fire.

I have been interested in building side hustles for a while now. Years, in fact.

But I owe a lot of the progress I’ve made to these people:

Pat Flynn

I originally found Pat Flynn through his podcast, “Smart Passive Income.”

He represented everything I was looking for in a side business: Work/life balance, good income, and a change from the grind” culture you see everywhere.

It was my first inkling that I could build something on shift and actually profit from it.

Dickie Bush

Dickie went from working for BlackRock to creating his own business and quitting his job.

Not that I’m looking to leave mine anytime soon, but his story of writing online inspired me to start doing the same. He’s a big part of why you’re reading this right now. I never would have considered writing as a path to personal growth before this.

Now I’m convinced writing has been one of the biggest catalysts for change in my life these past couple of years.

Alex Hormozi

Ok, he might be the exact opposite of Pat Flynn in terms of mindset.

But his combination of philosophy and his ability to explain business concepts in simple terms make him my go to for anything business related. Both actionable and motivational, I can’t stop watching his videos.

He’s one of the best business content creators out there for a reason.

These people have taught me so much—and it’s changed my life.

Just like they did with me, I hope to pass along my own learnings to the next person.
