Welcome to the blog!

I’m Shay. I started working as a volunteer emergency medical technician right out of high school in 2012. Basically, I never left. I ended up becoming a full-time firefighter at a pretty large department a few years later.

I moved up and got my Paramedic license in 2020, right before everything shut down during covid. Pretty exciting time to start working! I still work as a fire medic and started this blog as a side project to share some knowledge and experience.
